My temporary tooth came off. Can I just leave it until my appointment?

Please do not leave it - come in within 1 to 2 days if you can to have it re-attached. If the temporary tooth is left off, 1) the teeth can move within days so the final restoration no longer fits, 2) the prepared tooth becomes sensitive, and 3) the weakened tooth can crack. Do not throw the temporary tooth away - keep it and bring it with you, and if you call even before your appointment we will arrange a time to re-attach it.
