Q.
Are there any precautions after prosthetic treatment?
There is a risk of the prosthetic detaching, so it is recommended to avoid hard, hot, or chewy foods for about a day. After attaching the prosthetic, you may temporarily feel a foreign sensation or discomfort. If this feeling persists, it is advisable to visit the hospital to check its condition.
Q.
Will the final prosthetic be shaped like the temporary tooth?
The final prosthetic is designed to improve upon any discomfort experienced while wearing the temporary tooth.
Q.
My dentures no longer fit well. Can they be repaired for continued use?
In most cases, repairs are possible. However, it is necessary to visit the hospital to accurately check the condition of your dentures.
Q.
Is same day prosthetic treatment possible?
With our in-house lab, most prosthetic treatments can be completed on the same day. For simple crowns or inlays, the process of reshaping the tooth, scanning, and manufacturing can be completed within one to two hours. However, for treatments involving multiple teeth or esthetic front crowns, the temporary prosthetic stage is necessary, so same-day final prosthetic fabrication is typically not carried out.
Q.
How long can prosthetics be used?
On average, prosthetics last 5 to 10 years, but this can vary greatly depending on the patient’s condition. With proper oral hygiene and regular check-ups, they may last even longer. Please ensure you visit on the scheduled dates for regular check-ups as guided by our hospital.
