Why is there a hole in my implant crown?

That hole is the access channel for tightening and loosening the implant screw, and it is a deliberate, normal part of the design. The screw-cement-retained (SCRP) design has the advantage that if the screw loosens or the crown needs repair, it can be unscrewed and serviced without cutting the crown off. The hole is filled with resin when treatment is completed, so it is not visible day to day and food does not get into it. However, if the filling material comes out and the hole is exposed, it needs to be refilled, so please come in.
