Can root canal treatment be finished in a single day?

When there is no inflammation and the canal anatomy is simple, single-visit root canal treatment is possible. In most cases, though, the inside of the canal has to be disinfected and the response checked, so it is usually divided over 2 to 4 visits across 1 to 2 weeks. In particular, if 1) there is inflammation at the root tip, 2) pus has collected, or 3) it is a retreatment, finishing in one day increases the risk of pain and reinfection. We will tell you whether it is possible after assessing your tooth.
