Implant
I have only 2 lower teeth left. Is it better to extract them and get implants, or to get a denture?
The choice depends on the condition of the remaining teeth. 1) If they are still strong, they can be kept and used as support for a partial denture or an implant-supported denture. 2) If they are badly loose, we consider extraction followed by an implant-supported denture anchored on 2 to 4 implants, or a full set of implants. An implant-supported denture generally holds more securely than a conventional denture. If you are 65 or older, the National Health Insurance covers up to 2 implants. An accurate judgment is safest after examining how loose the teeth are and the condition of the supporting bone, so we will compare the options for you after a check-up.
