Implant
What if food gets into the implant site and will not come out?
Do not try to dig it out with a toothpick or anything similar - start with rinsing and a water flosser on a low setting. Poking with a sharp object can injure the gum and lead to peri-implantitis. The order is 1) rinse vigorously with water, 2) pass an interdental brush through gently, and 3) use a water flosser starting at the lowest setting. If it still will not come out, or food keeps getting trapped, the space between the restorations may need adjusting, so come in to have it cleaned and checked.
