Orthodontics
My teeth seem to shift out of line as I get older. Can that happen?
Yes, changes in tooth alignment with age are natural. Teeth have a lifelong tendency to migrate forward, and when the supporting bone weakens the change speeds up, so the front teeth can overlap or spread apart. However, if they spread rapidly in a short period or the teeth also feel loose, gum disease may be the cause and an examination is needed. If the crowding bothers you, partial orthodontic treatment can improve it, so come in for a consultation.
