Yes, a companion is essential for sedation treatment. The effects of the sedative can linger for several hours after you wake, causing dizziness and drowsiness, with a risk of falls and accidents. On the day of treatment, please 1) go home with your companion, 2) never drive, and 3) avoid important decisions and operating machinery. If bringing a companion is difficult, please let us know before your appointment.
