Are dental expenses eligible for an income tax deduction?

Yes, dental expenses qualify for the medical expense tax credit at year-end tax settlement. Treatment costs such as fillings, root canal treatment, extractions, implants, and dentures are eligible, and the credit applies to medical expenses exceeding 3% of your total salary. However, cosmetic procedures such as tooth whitening and laminate veneers may be excluded. Payments made at our clinic are reported automatically to the National Tax Service's simplified year-end settlement service, and if anything is missing we can issue a payment certificate - just ask at the front desk.
