Can I boil my denture in hot water to disinfect it?

You must not boil dentures or soak them in hot water. The pink denture base is made of plastic (resin), which bends or deforms in hot water, and a deformed denture no longer fits and may have to be remade. The correct method is to 1) brush it daily in cool or lukewarm water, 2) soak it once a day in a denture cleaning tablet solution for the time stated on the product instructions, and 3) store it in cool water as well. Boiling water, microwaves, alcohol, and bleach are all off limits. However, if odor or staining does not come out even with a cleaning tablet, have it ultrasonically cleaned at the clinic.
