How often should I have regular check-ups?

We recommend a denture check-up every 6 months. The jawbone keeps changing even while you wear the denture, so at each visit we check 1) the fit and looseness of the denture, 2) any gum inflammation or pressure sores, and 3) for partial dentures, the condition of your remaining teeth, including cavities and gum disease. If needed, a reline can refit the inside and extend the life of your denture. However, if pain, looseness, or bad breath appears before your next scheduled check-up, please come in right away — small repairs are easier when caught early.
