Pus is coming from my gum.

Pus in the gum does not clear up on its own, so please come in as soon as possible. The cause is broadly either 1) a periodontal abscess from gum inflammation or 2) a periapical abscess at the root tip of a tooth whose nerve has died, and the approach differs accordingly - gum treatment or root canal treatment. Antibiotics are only an adjunct; without treating the cause it comes back. Never squeeze or burst the pus at home, as that can worsen the infection, and if facial swelling or fever comes with it, it may be an emergency, so seek care immediately.
