Yes, there is. Under the National Health Insurance, pregnant patients pay an outpatient co-payment rate 20 percentage points lower than other patients. Simply present a pregnancy confirmation document or your maternity record book at reception. It applies to insured items such as fillings, gum treatment, and scaling, but not to non-covered items such as implants or cosmetic treatment. Because it applies only while you are pregnant, we recommend not postponing a check-up during the second trimester (weeks 14 to 27), when gums are more prone to problems.
