Can I have implant surgery under sedation?

Yes, implant surgery can be performed under sedation (conscious sedation). We recommend it for 1) patients with severe dental anxiety, 2) those with a strong gag reflex, or 3) longer procedures such as full-mouth implants. On the day of sedation, you'll generally need to fast for about 6 hours, and since driving yourself afterward isn't safe, we recommend bringing someone with you. However, if you have a systemic condition that isn't well controlled, we will assess your case in advance for safety before deciding whether to proceed.
