Can I disinfect my dentures in boiling water?

Never sterilize your denture in boiling water. The pink body of the denture is made of plastic (resin), and contact with hot water warps it. Once it is deformed, the change cannot be reversed, and you may have to have a new denture made. Use cold or lukewarm water for both cleaning and storage. If you want to disinfect it, using a denture cleaning solution 2-3 times a week is plenty. Sterilizing with a microwave, alcohol, or bleach also causes deformation and damage, so these methods should be avoided as well.
