Denture
What is the patient co-pay under health insurance?
The patient copay for insurance-covered dentures is 30% of the total cost. Medical Aid recipients pay even less — 5% for Type 1 and 15% for Type 2. This applies to patients aged 65 and older, as a rule once every 7 years per arch, and covers both complete and partial dentures. At the 30% copay, the out-of-pocket cost is about 300,000-400,000 KRW per arch, but additional non-covered items — such as crowns on the teeth that hold the clasps in a partial denture — can change the total, so we will give you an exact estimate after your diagnostic exam.
