Cavity
My temporary filling came out.
If a temporary filling comes out, it has to be replaced at the clinic within 2 to 3 days at the latest. The temporary material protects the inside of the tooth under treatment from bacteria and food, so if it stays open too long, reinfection can mean starting root canal treatment over. Until your visit, please 1) avoid chewing on that side, 2) keep the area clean by brushing gently and rinsing after meals, and 3) do not push the fallen piece back in. If pain or swelling develops, move your appointment up and come in right away.
