Implant
When can I start eating hard foods after my implant?
We recommend sticking to soft foods for about a month after the final crown is attached, to give yourself an adjustment period. After that, you can eat most foods, but unlike natural teeth, implants don't have a periodontal ligament to cushion impact, so it's best to continue avoiding 1) chewing ice, 2) tough foods like dried squid, and 3) hard nut shells. Also, even during the adjustment period, please visit us if you feel pain or any wobbling when chewing.
