Implant

I was told the implant screw is visible. Do I need to treat it right away?

Whether treatment is needed depends on which part is exposed. 1) The abutment, which connects the crown to the artificial root, being visible above the gumline is often part of the normal design and may not require treatment. 2) On the other hand, if the threads of the artificial root, which should be embedded within the jawbone, are exposed, this may mean the bone has dissolved due to peri-implantitis and treatment is needed. Since it's hard to tell the two apart visually, please visit us for an X-ray examination.
